Day 6 (Another travel day) North Sioux City, SD to Belvidere, SD 316 miles, total now 1919.6
The rolling hills  of Iowa changed to the rolling plains of South Dakota.  Still some corn but soybean fields being replaced by other crops including many very large fields of sunflowers.

Also many fields of grass harvested into rolls for feed I assume.  We stopped in Mitchell, SD to see the world's only Corn Palace, originally built in 1892. Inside it is a sports arena where basketball & volleyball are played, but inside & outside the building is decorated with murals composed entirely of corn and other local native plants.

Later we stopped at a visitor center with some great views of the Missouri river.  Unfortunately the display and information about the Lewis & Clark expedition in the area was closed.
This was a shorter day than usual of driving and we arrived at the campground at about 4:30 PM Mountain Time.
