Day 11 (Sightseeing in Yellowstone)  Only drove about 40 miles new total (2640.5 miles)
Awoke at 6:30 and about 35 degrees.  After breakfast and chores, the 4 of us loaded into the PleasureWay and headed out along the Southeast section of the lower loop of the park.  This is the section known for it's more classical natural beauty and wildlife.

We hadn't gone very far before we were treated to our next buffalo sighting, as (2) were walking right along the edge of the road and doing a great job of creating a traffic jam.

The East side loop also featured a few of the more uncommon natural sights, like the Dragon's MouthSpring and the Mud Volcano. (Remember Yellowstone Park sits in and around a volcanic caldera over 30 something miles wide - one of if not the largest in the world.

Our next vista a few miles beyond brought us to see grasslands and a herd of buffalo, looked like between 30 & 50 spread out over both sides of the road.  There were mostly sleeping at this time of the morning but some were slowly moping along. This small herd included a number of young calves and juveniles.  gain they seemed to have a fascination of stopping traffic, especially the young bulls.

The next element of the park we encountered was the Yellowstone River, the Upper & Lower Falls and parts of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  The views were all breathtaking and my camera shots cannot begin to do it justice.
